Upcoming TGC Events 2019

 
TGC Annual General Meeting

Friday April  5th, 2019  at the Tobermory Community Centre

Doors open at 10:30 am,  Meeting begins at  10:45 am

 We will be collecting membership fees ($5), issuing Membership cards and reviewing planned events and activities for 2019.  Coffee, Tea and refreshments will be available.

All gardeners welcome.

 

 


The Spring TGC Plant Exchange & Sale 

Friday May 31st, 2019   8:30 am - Noon at the Tobermory Community Centre

A wide selection of perennials, annuals, vegetables, native plants, seeds, bulbs & gardening books for sale or exchange.   TGC Members 8:30 am - Noon.

At 10am Vicky Thompson - Grey County Master Gardeners will present

Best Practices for a Healthy Garden”

 

 

Non-members 9:30 am - Noon.

All plants & plant material to be exchanged by members should be in a pot or bag & be labelled and should be delivered at 9 am. Coffee, Tea and refreshments will be available.

The TGC Day Trip 

Thursday June 20th, 2019   The coach will leave from Tobermory United Church at 9am with stops to pickup members south of Tobermory

Space is limited, so please reserve early!

  $55   Payable by June 8th....

The day trip includes:

•Entrance fee & tour of Arboretum at Inglis falls

•Lunch at the Dragonfly Bakery & Cafe

•Menu:  Sandwich with either salad or soup,

& Dessert & beverage

•Shopping at Grange Hollow Gardens & Greenhouses 

•Transportation by bus provided by First Student buses

Coach Departs 9:00 am

Returns 5:00 pm

 

 

Pickup & drop off at The Tobermory United Church, Brock St.,Tobermory

Pickup at Dyers Bay Rd, Pike Bay etc can be arranged.

 

 

 

 

TGC Tours of member gardens will be scheduled during July & early August

The Fall TGC Plant, Bulb & Seed Exchange & Speaker

Friday Sept 13th, 2019   9:00 am  at the Tobermory Community Centre

All plants & plant material to be exchanged by members should be in a pot or bag & be labelled  

Coffee, Tea and refreshments will be available. 

 Everyone welcome.

At 11:30 am We will hold an informal Member Round Table Discussion.

  • What was new in your garden for 2019.

  • What worked and what didn’t.

  • Plans for next year’s garden. 

  • Seeds, bulbs & plants you are looking for.
